It’s been almost two years since Back2Back first forged a relationship with Harvest Care Children’s Home outside Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
Over the last few years, Back2Back has seen tremendous growth in our Child Sponsorship Program. We are thrilled to be able to connect you with the children you love, and thank God that He lets us witness the impact it has on their lives.
Sixteen-year old Alberto loves textile arts, soccer and skateboarding. He enjoys spending afternoons with Back2Back staff at a local skate park. He strives to be a leader in his children’s home, someone they can look up to and come to for advice.
This month, I had the privilege of training new Back2Back Monterrey volunteers. About 45 volunteers from local area churches gathered to receive training about providing trauma competent care to the orphans we serve.
I had wanted to participate in a mission trip for over ten years. For numerous reasons it hadn’t happened yet. I was having lunch with a dear friend who was going to Cancun in just a little over two weeks. I shared that I’d love to participate if it wasn’t too late.
